Well I recently had a brush with the law that took my freedom away for 46 days. Now the fact that they found no grounds for my incarseration after 46 days says something about our legal system, but that for a latter time.

I now look at the world a bit differently, needless to say. While I was in jail I found out that most of the people in there where the honest folks. While the ones that lied walked. I wish that I could say that all of my problems are past, but that would not be true. The person that put me in jail was my wife of 12yrs on a false charge. I will not go into the charge as it does not matter. But I will say that the sky is more viberant now to me as is everything else. I also lost my girlfriend due to my lack of good judgement. I will be true to myself from now on, and in so doing be true to those around me as a matter of course.

But I digress. Freedom is the ability to do what we take for granted in our every day lives. We can stay up or go to bed when we want to. Get a job, drive a car, walk down the street anytime we want to. It is the ability to make choices of the things we want, not just what we have to (eg. eating, breathing, ect.). I will most likly take some of the things for granted in time, but not for a while. I love life more, even with my losses or because of them, and I will continue to love life and what it has to offer. I at one time thought I needed someone else in my life to make me feel whole, but not anymore. I am a person unto myself. I have thoughts, opinons, and choices I will make for right or wrong. I will fight for what I belive is right and against what I see as wrong. I now have have a different view of people and the wolrd around me. My view may be a bit more more cynical than what it was, but I will live with that. I am me and I will NOT change for others to accept me anymore. If I want to change it is because I see the need to. And I will change always, I can only hope it will be for the better. I have new friends that are helping me and I hope that some old ones will help me also.
